The Grand Ballroom is the ideal venue to hold wedding ceremonies and receptions along with banquets, fundraisers, concerts, and other large scale parties. With two walls of large, towering windows, gorgeous hardwood floors, and restored Art Deco Chandeliers, the Grand Ballroom requires minimal decorating to make your dream event a reality.
The Grand Ballroom can accommodate 500+ guests (banquet seating); however, it can also be split into two separate spaces creating the North and South Grand Ballrooms. Linens are also available for rental, along with dishware.

North Grand Ballroom
The North Grand Ballroom can comfortably seat 250 to 300 guests (banquet seating) on its large hardwood floor, which makes an ideal space for appreciation luncheons, reunions, business meetings, smaller receptions, and retirement parties. The space’s high ceilings and large, towering windows compliment the spaces historic charm creating a lasting impression. It also includes adjustable lighting to offer a perfect balance of light at all times of the day. Linens and dishware are available for rental.
South Grand Ballroom
The South Grand Ballroom is perfect for social gatherings such as business meetings, trainings, smaller receptions, and wedding ceremonies. The South Grand Ballroom can fit 150 to 200 guests (banquet seating) comfortably. Linens and dishware available for rental. The space has also been used for performances, concerts, and plays by utilizing the theater seating that is available in our auditorium balcony making an ideal performing arts venue.

Timeless Charm
Jesse and I had our perfect day all planned for an outdoor ceremony. The Tuesday before our wedding we had to switch to plan B and have an indoor ceremony. I emailed Dan at the Glencoe City Center immediately to see if we could have our entire wedding at the Reception venue and he worked so easily with us to get things switched around. I thought it was going to be stressful with such a big change just four days before the big day, but he helped things run smoothly. We had endless compliments on the Grand Ballroom and how gorgeous it was on our wedding. A timeless feel that can be decorated to fit many different themes. We had plenty of room for our guests and the atmosphere was so comfortable! If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn’t change a thing.
